Ex-Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho did not enjoy his reunion with the Reds earlier this month, and his Chelsea team-mates made their feelings clear
Alejandro Garnacho was reportedly given a dressing down by his Chelsea teammates at half-time during the Blues’ recent loss to Manchester United. The former Reds academy star was brought on early in the match after an injury to Estevao forced the Brazilian wonderkid off the pitch.
Having initially struggled to make his mark on the right-hand side of Chelsea’s attack, manager Liam Rosenior shifted him across to his more natural left-hand side. The change yielded little improvement, however, as Garnacho struggled throughout the 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old, of course, made the move from United during the summer transfer window, joining for a fee believed to be in the region of £40million. The Argentinian was subject to considerable jeering from the travelling United supporters throughout Saturday night’s Premier League clash, but the criticism didn’t stop there for Garnacho.

According to The Sun, Chelsea players were reportedly unhappy with his performance, with some allegedly giving him a piece of their mind during the half-time break.
Meanwhile, his former United team-mates took delight in their win over Garnacho on social media, with Luke Shaw sharing a photo of himself making a robust challenge on the ex-Red Devil.
The post was liked or commented on by team-mates Dalot, Fernandes, Cunha, Joshua Zirkzee, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martinez, Patrick Dorgu and Mason Mount.
Meanwhile, the official United social media account shared clips of Garnacho being tackled by several of their players, which attracted considerable praise from supporters online.
This follows a period in which Garnacho made a number of controversial remarks during the final days of his United career, including taking aim at then-manager Ruben Amorim for leaving him out of the Europa League final starting line-up.
He further frustrated supporters shortly afterwards by posting a photograph in Marcus Rashford’s Aston Villa shirt, with a move to Chelsea having been agreed not long after.
The winger recently reflected on his conduct in an interview with Premier League Productions, with the 21-year-old saying: “I remember that, in the last six months, I was not playing like before at Manchester United.
“I started to be on the bench. It’s not such a bad thing – I was only 20 years old – but in my mind it was like I had to play every game.
“In my mind, maybe it was also on me. I started to do some bad things. But it was just a moment in life and sometimes you have to make decisions. I am really proud to be [at Chelsea] and still in the Premier League at a club like this.
“About United, I have nothing wrong to say about the club, anyone at the club or my team-mates. It was just a moment that changed and life continues. I have no regrets.”
