Headlines were made when Golmaal 5 added Akshay Kumar into the mix. With the majority of the original cast returning for the film, his addition was different because he is a fresh face. It was also promised that he won’t be acting as the lead of the film.
Instead, Ajay Devgn would maintain his role and importance. Additionally, the cast seemed to give hope to fans because of just how memorable it all feels. In the midst of it, Akshay Kumar’s reported fee stands out.

As per News18, Akshay Kumar is being paid a lot more than Ajay Devgn for only 18-22 days of shooting. Reports claim that he is taking home a whopping ₹35-40 crores for his role. This is a lot more than what Devgn’s upfront fee is.
“Akshay Kumar is shooting for 18-22 days, and he is getting around ₹35-40 crs, which is more than Ajay Devgn’s upfront fees because he is on a profit-sharing basis.”
The actor’s inclusion into the film was announced on Rohit Shetty’s birthday and the film will also include Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu. The production of the movie has already commenced.
Akshay will be dawning a bald look for the movie, something that he hasn’t necessarily attempted before.
His latest film, Bhooth Bangla, marked his return to comedy and it was also a reunion with Priyadarshan. The film performed very well at the box office and the actor is now slowly getting back into the world of comedy. His upcoming films also include Welcome to the Jungle, Haiwaan, and more.
As an update to the film’s progress, Golmaal 5 shared a glimpse of Sharman Joshi and Arshad Warsi recreating an iconic scene together, promising that the original comedy that everyone loved will be making its return.
