Apple has started selling certified refurbished iPhone 16 smartphones on its official online store in the US. The list includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, and discounts compared to new devices range from $110-$230.
The most affordable in the lineup is the refurbished iPhone 16 for $619, while the iPhone 16 Plus starts at $699. Prices for the flagship models start at $759 for the iPhone 16 Pro and $929 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. For comparison, at launch in September 2024, Apple sold these smartphones for $799–$1,199, and later reduced the prices of the new iPhone 16 and 16 Plus to $699 and $799, respectively.

In addition to the US, refurbished iPhone 16s are gradually appearing in Apple’s online stores in Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and some other countries. However, the range of models may vary depending on the region.
Apple says that all refurbished iPhones are unlocked and fully tested. They come with a new battery and case, come in a simple box with a USB-C cable, and come with a one-year warranty. They also come with optional AppleCare+ or AppleCare One coverage. The company says that these devices are virtually indistinguishable from new.
