Tata Motors recently introduced the Tiago facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs. 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated entry-level hatchback from Tata has now started arriving at local dealers across the country.
The new Tiago base variant, called Smart, is available with both petrol and CNG powertrains. Both versions are powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, NA petrol motor paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The power output is rated at 85bhp/113Nm and 74bhp/96Nm in petrol and CNG modes, respectively. The higher variants also get the option of an AMT unit across both fuel options.
As seen in the images here, the Tiago Smart variant features a new black grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, 14-inch steel wheels, black door handles and ORVMs, LED taillights, integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and Tiago lettering on the tailgate.
Inside, the model comes equipped with a new freestanding coloured instrument cluster, new two-spoke steering wheel with a digital Tata logo, six airbags, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, tilt-adjustable steering, and under-thigh support for the front seats.
