NVIDIA updated its DLSS 4 transformer model to DLSS 4.5 in January 2026 and introduced several improvements to AI-based Super Resolution and Frame Generation technologies. The new update improves image quality and stability and provides higher frame rates. Furthermore, the update introduces two major improvements: enhanced Super Resolution and expanded Multi Frame Generation technologies, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the new 6x Frame Generation mode.
Below is everything you need to know about which GPUs support Super Resolution and 6x Frame Generation.

NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 GPU compatibility
Full DLSS 4.5 support varies by RTX architecture, but Super Resolution works across all RTX GPUs, and only newer Multi Frame Generation features, including Dynamic MFG and the 6x MFG mode, require RTX 50-series hardware.
As a result, older RTX cards benefit from the improved upscaling model, but only RTX 50-series GPUs offer full compatibility, similar to how DLSS 4.0 and MFG support were limited to newer architectures. That said, the tables below show which GPUs support the tech.
