‘Summer House’ Cast Reacts To Reunion Audio Leak: Kyle Cooke Says It’s “Unfortunate” & A “Bummer”
Kyle Cooke is sharing his thoughts after audio of the Summer House Season 10 reunion leaked online hours after the cast filmed the special.
In a series of posts on social media, Cooke said it was a “bummer” and “unfortunate” that a snippet of the reunion was shared online after the show wrapped.
“I don’t think this is something that we are going to make sense of anytime soon, but it’s unfortunate,” Cooke said on his Instagram Stories. “As Andy [Cohen] said, it was probably one of the most intense reunions he’s ever filmed. There were a lot of emotions. It was a rough day for everybody.”
He continued, “I don’t even know why this clip would have been the one that they’d share, like, it’s just unfortunate all around because we put it all out there. It was like a 12-hour day, and to wake up to this is a bummer.”
Cooke addressed some of the conspiracy theories out there about the person responsible for the leak, which he found “super frustrating and annoying,” noting that Bravo was “doing a full-blown cyber investigation.” The reality TV personality suggested the person behind the leak “seek cover or counsel.”
One thing that the Loverboy founder discarded was a fellow cast member leaking it, as phones have to be tucked away behind a pillow. Cooke theorizes that it could have been someone with access to the live feed on set who recorded from a speaker. He also dismissed the hair and makeup teams, as they are not close to the set and remain off it.
Fellow cast member KJ Dillard took to Threads to claim his innocence from the leak, posting, “I wouldn’t risk losing my job by leaking audio of a deeply emotional reunion. The leak wasn’t me.”
Bravo issued a statement this morning saying they were investigating the breach.
“This represents a serious breach of trust and a clear lack of respect for the cast, crew and the integrity of the production process,” a Bravo spokesperson told Deadline in a statement. “We take this matter very seriously and have launched a full investigation, and we will take appropriate action based on our findings.”
