RC 17 Not Starting Anytime Soon?
For years, Ram Charan has maintained a pattern of quickly moving from one project to the next. In most cases, the actor begins preparations for his upcoming film even before his current release completes its theatrical run.
However, things are not the same this time around as his much-awaited reunion with Sukumar, tentatively titled RC17, appears to be taking a different route. According to industry reports, the project is unlikely to begin anytime soon.
The primary reason is said to be the script, which Sukumar is still refining. Known for his meticulous approach to storytelling, the director reportedly wants to lock every aspect of the screenplay before taking the film on floors. Given the expectations surrounding the combination after the blockbuster success of Rangasthalam, Sukumar is understandably taking extra care.
There is another factor at play as well. Ram Charan is believed to be recovering from a hand injury sustained while filming the intense wrestling sequences for Peddi. Sources suggest the actor may require some treatment and rest before committing to another demanding schedule.
As a result, both the star and director appear to be in no rush to begin production. Current buzz indicates that Sukumar may complete the script work and pre-production formalities by November. If everything proceeds according to plan, the film could finally commence shooting in December.
While the delay may disappoint eager fans, it could ultimately benefit the project. With Sukumar taking his time on the script and Charan focusing on recovery, RC17 has a better chance of hitting the floors with complete clarity and preparation, something that could prove crucial for a film of this scale.
