Official Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold CAD Renders First Look

Google is expected to announce a new book-style foldable smartphone later this year, and we have a real treat for you today. We’re here to show the design of that phone, the design of the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This will essentially be your first look at the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, as it did not leak out until this point. We managed to get ahold of Pixel 11 Pro Fold CAD-based renders, and are here to present them, in partnership with OnLeaks.

Here’s what the Google Pixel 11 Fold will look like

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is coming to succeed the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which was rather similar to its predecessor. As you’ll soon find out, Google is not really looking to reinvent the wheel with this year’s model either. We’ll show you the phone’s design in both image and video formats, so you’ll basically see it from all angles. In addition to that, we also have some information regarding the dimensions of the phone.  With that being said, let’s get to it.

It’s very similar to its predecessor

The moment you lay your eyes on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s design, you’ll realize that it looks quite similar to its predecessor. Google opted not to make major design changes, and that’s kind of expected. The phone will once again be made from mainly aluminum and glass, and from the front, it looks almost the same as its predecessor. That goes for both the front of it when it’s folded and unfolded, actually.

The overall shape of the phone is the same, as is the corner curvature, pretty much. The main display does have a hole on it, in the top-right corner, in the same spot as the previous model. The bezels also seems to be the same, actually. They’re uniform and as thin as you can get around the foldable display, as those bezels also double as protection for the display. They’re raised. Bezels on the left and right sides of the phone connect when you fold it, of course, so they have to be raised. It’s the same deal as on the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and basically any other book-style foldable out there.

The top and bottom sides are not particularly interesting. At the bottom is the Type-C port with a microphone, speaker grille, and a SIM card tray. The top is even less eventful, with another couple of holes.

Its camera module will look different… and better

If we flip the phone around, you’ll notice a change that is easily noticeable. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has a slightly different camera island than its predecessor. Both the LED flash and a microphone are now located within the top pill-shaped cutout. There are two of them on top of the camera island, the same as on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The point where the camera island touches the backplate is curved now, as you can see below. This, overall, looks cleaner and more modern, for sure, so it’s a welcome change.

You’ll notice that the backplate is once again flat, with Google’s logo centered on the back. The physical buttons are also easily visible, and they’re basically in the same spot as they were on the previous model. The power/lock button sits above the volume up and down keys. The frame will be most likely be made out of aluminum, while Google is expected to use glass on the back.

Thinner than before

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be a bit thinner than its predecessor. If you check out the image below, you’ll see what it looks like from the side. That shows you how thick it is, and you can also see how prominent the camera bump is on the back. We do have some actual numbers as well, based on CAD. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will have the same height as its predecessor (155.2mm), while the unfolded width also remains the same (150.4mm). When it comes to thickness, it will be 10.1mm thick when folded (down from 10.8mm), and 4.8mm when unfolded (down from 5.2mm). This is not a huge difference, but it’s a welcome one, as the competitors are below 9mm of folded thickness at this point.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Differences

As you probably already realized by now, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be very similar to its predecessor. We’ve mentioned a number of differences already as part of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold design section. Let’s list them here, though, for easier consumption.

It will be thinner

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be thinner than its predecessor, in both fold and unfolded forms. When folded, the phone will measure 10.1mm (14.9mm including the rear camera bump). When unfolded, it will measure 4.8mm (9.6mm with the rear camera bump). The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on the other hand, measures 5.2mm when unfolded and 10.8mm when folded. So the new device will be around 0.7mm thinner when folded, and 0.4mm thinner when unfolded, not counting the camera bump, of course. It still won’t be as thin as some of the competitors, but it’s getting there.

Redesigned camera bump

The camera island on the back of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is easily the most notable visual change between the two devices. The new camera bump looks cleaner, more modern. The LED flash and microphone now sit in the upper pill-shaped cutout, along with one of the rear cameras, instead of being placed next to them. The entire camera module looks cleaner now because of it.

Google Tensor G6

Those were the only two notable design differences between the two devices. However, some additional ones will be included under the hood. The all-new Google Tensor G6 processor will fuel the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, unlike the Tensor G5, which is included in the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This new chip will also be manufactured by TSMC, and it’s also expected to be a 3nm chip. It’s still a bit of a mystery, though. The latest rumor did say it will be a 7-core chip, but take that with a grain of salt.

Upgraded cameras?

It’s not exactly a secret that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold doesn’t have the best camera hardware. It is actually inferior to the Pixel 10 Pro, and it’s not even on the same level as the Pixel 10, as it has an inferior ultrawide camera. Other foldables on the market have gone way beyond this point in terms of camera hardware, so Google is expected to raise the ante here. We’re hoping for upgrades across the board, but it’s too early to tell what exactly we’ll get. Google may end up using some of the camera hardware from the Pixel 10 Pro units.

What else?

We don’t expect many other changes, in all honesty. The display will stay (almost) the same size, as will the cover display. The IP68 water and dust resistance is expected to return, while the phone is expected to support Pixelsnap and Qi2 wireless charging. Its battery probably won’t grow much, if at all, and so on. Who knows, Google may yet surprise us, but we’re not expecting a major change in any of those categories. A silicon-carbon tech would do wonders for the battery capacity, but there are no indications that Google will actually do it.

Pricing & launch timeframe

Back in April last year, we exclusively shared Google’s four-device Pixel roadmap through 2028, price-wise. Things have changed since then, however. The pricing that Google had in mind will probably change. The pricing was planned to be $1,500 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, but that probably won’t happen due to tariffs and various other factors. On top of that, memory prices have skyrocketed. In other words, the price of this device is still a mystery, but we don’t think it will be more affordable than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. If anything, it may go above that $1,799 level. As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 starts at $1,999, the all-new Motorola Razr Fold starts at €1,999 ($2,319), and so on. Foldable prices are not low by any stretch of the imagination.

What about its launch date? Well, based on Google’s track record from the last two years, we’re expecting the phone to arrive in August. The Pixel 9 series was announced in August 2024, while the Pixel 10 series arrived in August 2025. Everything points to that month again, though things may change, of course. Google used to announce its phones in September and October, and then switched to August. We’ll see. For the time being, however, August is the launch month.

The bottom line

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, design-wise, will essentially be a thinner Pixel 10 Pro Fold with a redesigned camera bump. The overall dimensions will be basically the same. A new processor, the Google Tensor G6, is expected, but not many other changes under the hood. Its main and cover display probably won’t change in size, if in any way, while the battery capacity is not expected to change much either, if at all. We do expect some improvements in terms of camera hardware, though. The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold won’t be a huge revamp of Google’s formula for foldables, but it will still be a step in the right direction.
