NVIDIA refreshes GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 GPU lineup • Межа

A prolonged memory shortage has forced graphics card manufacturers to bring back models first introduced in 2020. Manli has expanded its product portfolio with new versions of the GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3050 GPUs based on Nvidia’s Ampere architecture. Their release comes six years after the architecture’s debut, Tom’s Hardware has reported, citing VideoCardz.

The decision was driven by economics. Ampere GPUs are produced on Samsung’s mature 8nm (8N) process node, which continues to deliver high chip yields. As a result, manufacturing costs are lower than for products based on the newer Ada Lovelace and Blackwell architectures. The RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 were selected because of their enduring popularity among gamers. According to Steam Hardware Survey data, the RTX 3060 remains the most widely used graphics card, while the RTX 3050 ranks fourth.

The memory shortage has constrained the supply of newer DRAM, particularly GDDR7, which carries a significantly higher cost. Reverting to more affordable 14-15 Gbps GDDR6 memory in older GPU designs allows manufacturers to preserve margins. By comparison, the RTX 4060 relies on faster 17 Gbps GDDR6 modules, while the RTX 50 series requires even higher-spec and more expensive memory configurations.

Manli’s new GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Nebula Twin and GeForce RTX 3060 (M2521+N630) are built on a conventional dual-slot, dual-fan cooling design. Both conform to NVIDIA reference specifications and ship without factory overclocking. The positioning targets budget-conscious users prioritising cost efficiency over additional features or performance tuning.

Manli’s reintroduction of these models aligns with reports that other NVIDIA board partners, including ASUS, Colorful, Galax and MSI, are preparing to resume RTX 3060 production in July.

Manli’s product distribution is primarily concentrated in Asia and the Middle East, though the company also operates in select European markets, including Ukraine. Pricing for the new GPUs remains close to launch levels: the GeForce RTX 3060 is listed at US$299.99, while the GeForce RTX 3050 starts at US$239.99.
