May 2026 Community Day Features Lechonk with Exciting Bonuses and Rewards
Pokémon GO is set to host an exciting Community Day event on May 9, 2026, featuring the adorable Hog Pokémon, Lechonk. From 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time, Trainers can look forward to an increase in Lechonk sightings in the wild, with the possibility of encountering a Shiny version or one with a Special Background.
Players are encouraged to evolve their Lechonk during the event or up to four hours after to obtain an Oinkologne that knows the Fast Attack Mud Slap. This addition to player strategies can enhance battle capabilities moving forward.
The event will also include a range of enticing bonuses:
– Trainers will benefit from a quarter of the usual Egg Hatch Distance when placing Eggs in an Incubator throughout the event period.
– Players can earn double Candy for catching Pokémon, along with an increased chance for Trainers at level 31 and above to receive Candy XL.
– Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, will last for three hours when activated during the event.
– Trainers are encouraged to snap a few pictures during Community Day, as these may yield a delightful surprise.
– Lure Modules will remain active for one hour and could attract Lechonk from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. local time.
– Additionally, of the usual two Special Trades allowed in a day, Trainers can make one extra, while Stardust costs for trades will be reduced by 50%.
Players can also engage in Community Day-themed Field Research, which will include tasks centered on catching Lechonk. Completing these tasks offers rewards such as Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more encounters with the featured Pokémon.
For those interested in a little more challenge, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for US$1.99, or the equivalent price in local currency. Completing this research allows Trainers to unlock additional rewards.
With these engaging activities and bonuses, this Community Day promises to be a fun-filled experience for Pokémon GO enthusiasts. Mark your calendars and prepare to go full hog in May!
