- Tri-cluster setup that bears resemblance with what the existing Born-Electric SUVs get
- Likely to remain mechanically unchanged
The Mahindra XUV700 Facelift will likely get the XUV 7XO nameplate, and the upcoming SUV’s interior was spied up close. We can clearly see a tri-cluster setup, similar to what the existing Born Electrics – the XEV 9e and the upcoming XEV 9S have. We can also see a gear selector dial, hinting at an automatic version.
The wrapped XUV700 Facelift also had a ‘diesel’ sticker on the front windscreen. The facelifted SUV will also get a dual-spoke steering wheel, with an illuminated Mahindra twin peaks logo. The dash also hints at the use of soft-touch elements, given that the majority of the cabin is wrapped.
Highlighting design changes for the Mahindra XUV700 Facelift (7XO) include a revised front grille, fresh lights, fog lamps (likely accompanied by cornering lights), all discs, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. The SUV, like the majority of its rivals, will mostly continue with the same mechanical setup – 2.2L diesel (6MT – 182bhp/420Nm, torque converter – 182bhp/450Nm; also gets a 4WD option) and 2.0L turbo-petrol (197bhp/380Nm, 6MT/6AT) motors.
