After four decades, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth have joined forces for a multistarrer. The film, which will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was formally announced with an entertaining promo a few days ago. Initially, Lokesh Kanagaraj was brought on board to direct the project, but the legendary actors later opted for Nelson as he brings a fun touch to the film.
Tentatively titled KH x RK, the biggie might hit the big screens either during Dussehra or Diwali in 2027, as per the latest buzz. The shoot is expected to commence in August 2026. Initially, the makers wanted to name the film RK x KH, but Rajinikanth reportedly suggested KH x RK, since Kamal Haasan is his senior in the industry.
The big-ticket entertainer will be produced by Red Giant Movies. Currently, Nelson is focused on casting actors for other crucial roles. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for this film.
