Sitaare Zameen Par was Aamir Khan’s last theatrical release. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film was first released by Aamir Khan on YouTube in pay-per-view mode and is now heading to Sony LIV.
The film’s OTT release window has now been confirmed. Sony LIV released a special video on YouTube, revealing that the movie will premiere on a Friday in April 2026. The exact release date is expected to be announced soon by the streaming platform. This also marks the first Hindi film to premiere on Sony LIV. All eyes are now on how the movie will perform on OTT.
The film features Genelia Deshmukh in a pivotal role and is based on the acclaimed 2018 Spanish sports drama Champions. The project is jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with music composed by the celebrated trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy.
