India – Flipkart has rolled out an outdoor campaign in New Delhi that invites the public to put the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion’s camera to the test through a billboard installation dubbed the “Most Credible Billboard”. Unveiled on 12 March and conceptualised by Sociowash Network, the campaign is built around the idea that “Testing is Believing”.
The activation also transformed a traditional outdoor hoarding into a live comparison experiment. The billboard displayed an image captured using the device and carried the message, “Think your phone camera can do better? Try.”
Below the hoarding, the exact scene depicted in the billboard visual was recreated in real life, allowing passers-by to photograph it using their own devices. They then compared their results with the image on the billboard.
According to the campaign materials, the installation effectively created a public side-by-side test in the middle of the city. Observers were able to compare their photos with the billboard image to assess differences in detail, colour, and clarity.
Content creators also documented the activation through vox-pop style videos, inviting people to participate in the challenge and share their reactions.
Additional elements of the campaign included smaller activations across the city, such as installations in low-light locations designed to demonstrate the device’s performance in challenging lighting conditions. A metro train wrap was also used to highlight the phone’s ability to capture fast-moving subjects.
However, the billboard experiment served as the central component of the campaign, presenting the camera test in a public setting.
Raghav Bagai, co-founder of Sociowash, said, “In a category where every brand claims to have the best camera, we wanted to flip the approach. Instead of making another claim, we created the most credible billboard by allowing people to test their camera against the new launch by Motorola.”
The campaign aims to demonstrate the device’s camera capabilities by allowing consumers to test them directly in a public setting.
