The transfer market is heating up with clubs looking to secure key talents for the future. Rival interest can create opportunities for strategic moves, with Fabrizio Romano at the heart of all reports.
These pursuits often involve high stakes and careful planning. Arsenal continue to scout players that fit their long-term vision.

Newcastle United are prepared to sell versatile full-back Tino Livramento in the summer transfer window, as they aim to secure the futures of other key squad members amid their unlikely prospects for Champions League qualification this season.
The 23-year-old England international has just over two years left on his contract, making Newcastle vulnerable to bids, and they would prefer to retain him if he agrees to a new deal beforehand, though they recognize his market value could decline without fresh terms.
Reports indicate Newcastle are ‘open to selling’ Livramento and ‘ready to cash in’, potentially to protect other stars in the squad. Arsenal have entered the race for Livramento, with a report insisting they are weighing up a summer bid.
The report highlighted that Livramento shares the same agent as Mikel Arteta, which could simplify negotiations. Additionally, Arsenal are among several Premier League clubs alerted, alongside Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United, setting up a battle for his signature.
Man City remain firmly in pole position, having expressed interest last summer, though Fabrizio Romano clarified that Livramento is not the right-back they are currently signing, with the situation on standby since then.

Fabrizio Romano provided an update, stating: “There have been questions about Tino Livramento, especially links with Arsenal and Manchester City. Arsenal are following several right-backs because that position will be one of their priorities in the summer. But there is nothing advanced with Livramento at this stage.
“Also, despite reports, Livramento is not the right-back Manchester City are currently signing. City wanted him one year ago, but since then the situation has been completely on standby. So Livramento remains a player to watch for the summer transfer window.”

Graeme Bailey added: “It is clear that Newcastle in an ideal world would tie down Livramento to a new contract, but that is not currently on the horizon, and as such, it is no surprise to see the market being ‘hyped’ up somewhat. If you are going to sell, all prospective buyers need to know, and whilst Newcastle themselves are not pushing him out of the door, far from it, they are aware that interest is being drummed up.”
Livramento’s performance context includes his role as a key defender for Newcastle, though the article does not provide specific details on recent form beyond ongoing links and interest. The potential move is valued at around £60m, as per multiple reports, with Newcastle’s openness influenced by contract situation and financial considerations.
This development comes as Arsenal lead the Premier League by seven points after 30 games, with their unbeaten European run intact. Adding a versatile defender like Livramento could address depth needs amid injuries to Ben White this season.
Fans have speculated on social media about Livramento’s fit at Arsenal, seeing him as a long-term option for the right-back position. This transfer saga adds intrigue as Arsenal chase their first title in over two decades.
