Labrinth, the Emmy-winning composer and songwriter behind Euphoria has publicly denounced the entertainment industry and the fan-favorite HBO drama in an incendiary new social media post.
“IM DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY. F— COLUMBIA,” the 37-year-old British recording artist and composer of Euphoria‘s beloved signature score wrote late Thursday of his record label in the post.
The Grammy nominee continued, specifically calling out creator Sam Levinson’s Zendaya-starring drama, writing, “DOUBLE F— EUPHORIA. IM OUT. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X.”

A four-time Emmy nominee for Euphoria, Labrinth won Outstanding Music and Lyrics in 2020 for the song “All for Us” from the season 1 finale. He has served as the show’s composer since the first season. Last summer, HBO announced that Hans Zimmer would be joining as composer alongside Labrinth for the third season.
“Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x,” Labrinth said in a statement at the time.
Actress Natasha Lyonne commented on Labrinth’s post with a heart emoji, while other musicians commented on the post with words of support for the recording artist, with Skylar Grey writing, “Please don’t stop making music the world needs you.”
Added rapper Stefflon Don, “Your talent and craft speaks volumes!!!! You are beyond amaze balls FYI.”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Columbia Records and HBO for comment.
Euphoria centers on Zendaya as Rue, a drug-addicted teen, and her relationships with various others as they navigate sex, love, addiction, and other traumatic scenarios at their fictional California high school.

Zendaya has won major accolades for her standout performance in the show, including two Emmys and an a Golden Globe.
Other notable cast members include Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Oscar nominee Jacob Elordi.
The show is set to return later on April 12 with its long-awaited third season, more than four years after the conclusion of season 2 in February 2022.
Late actor Eric Dane, who played the closeted bisexual father of Elordi’s character, is also set to return for season 3, having filmed scenes as part of the main cast before he died in February due to complications from ALS.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of Eric Dane’s passing. He was incredibly talented and HBO was fortunate to have worked with him on three seasons of Euphoria,” the network wrote in a social media tribute to the actor. “Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
Speaking to Extra in June about his return, Dane confirmed that he “shot one day” for his scenes.”
When asked if fans will be happy with the heavily delayed season , Dane answered, “Yes, absolutely. I think there’s still an appetite for that show out there. I think we’ll be alright.”
