Not all of it will be focused on ins and outs when it comes to the playing squad.

Hughes is also going to have to come to a difficult decision regarding the future of Arne Slot. If results do not improve and remain as volatile as they have this season, the Dutchman should not keep his job.

He’s not the right man to take over the rebuild process that Liverpool are inevitably going to have to embark on in the upcoming years.

This will see the Reds target the midfield next.

Liverpool haven’t brought a first-team midfielder since the summer of 2023.

Three years on, it’s going to be time for a refresh, especially as uncertainty looms over the future of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones.

Even Wataru Endo is likely to be on the move.

So, new players are going to have to come in and Anfield Watch revealed exclusively who the six man shortlist will include earlier this year.

Among those options was Eduardo Camavinga. The world-class Real Madrid midfielder who has won multiple Champions League trophies is well-liked by Michael Edwards and the club’s recruitment team, who wanted to sign him while he was a teenager breaking through at Rennes.

Real Madrid may have been reluctant to sell him in the past, however, a new report has claimed that the Spanish giants will be open to accepting an offer of €50m or above for Camavinga this summer.

Radio Marca reports that Real Madrid are open to offers for Camavinga and that they woul be willing to part ways with him for €50m.

At that price range a player of Camavinga’s ability is an absolute bargain.

He is a world-class midfielder who would bring energy and a lot of intensity into Liverpool’s midfield – exactly what they are lacking at the moment.

At the same time, Camavinga is still really young at 23-years-old and he is extremely versatile capable of playing not only in a number of midfield roles but also as a left-back.

For that reason, Liverpool should be the first club to make that €50m offer and lure him to Anfield.
