The conflict between Israel, Iran and the United States has led to a shortage of cylinders across the country. As a measure to avoid gas shortage, the Central Government has issued the Natural Gas Supply Regulation Order using the powers granted under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
The Act regulates the production, distribution, price and trade of essential commodities required by the public. Under the aegis of this act, the government has ordered all oil refineries to increase LPG production to deal with the gas shortage amid the war situation prevailing in the Middle East countries.
Meanwhile, the consumers seem to face difficulty in booking gas cylinders. Reportedly, people are complaining that the gas booking number is not working. Gas cylinders can be booked through other means.
You can book a gas cylinder through platforms like UPI or CRED. If the mobile number you have registered for the gas cylinder is the same as the mobile number in the CRED app, you can easily book a cylinder.
Once you pay for the cylinder booking option provided, the booking is made and a message is received for it.
Similarly, you can also book an LPG gas cylinder through UPI platforms like PhonePe.
