It’s a sad day for love, as we have just learned that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have been broken up for “several months.” People reported that Grande and Slater, who dated for three years, “decided to go their separate ways” after giving the decision lots of “time and careful consideration,” according to a source. They have remained friends, according to Page Six, and have nothing but respect and admiration for one another.
Famously, Grande and Slater began dating sometime in 2023, after meeting while filming the Wicked film adaptation, possibly while both were still married to other people. Despite the rocky public start to the relationship, they stayed together for years. Rumors of a split began as late as November 2025, when they suddenly seemed to be standing much farther apart than normal on the Wicked: For Good red carpet. However, at the time, TMZ reported that they were “absolutely” still together, and they continued to post one another on their social media. Now, it looks like they will have to continue to support one another from afar, as just friends.
