Apple introduced several new devices last week, including the MacBook Neo, iPhone 17e, updated MacBook Pro models, MacBook Air, iPad Air, and new Studio Displays. These products are now going on sale in India after pre-orders opened earlier. The launches span across multiple categories, from budget-friendly laptops to premium professional devices.
The MacBook Neo stands out as Apple’s most affordable MacBook, designed for younger users and students. Instead of an M-series chip, it runs on the A18 Pro processor from the iPhone 16 Pro, with one fewer GPU core. It features a 13-inch IPS display, aluminium design, up to 16 hours of battery life, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and Spatial Audio speakers. The laptop starts at Rs 69,900 in India.

Apple also launched the iPhone 17e as the successor to the iPhone 16e. The device is powered by the A19 chipset, though with one less GPU core compared to the standard iPhone 17. It also introduces MagSafe support and a new C1X modem that is claimed to be faster and more power efficient. The phone retains the notch design and single 48-megapixel rear camera, and starts at Rs 64,900 with 256GB storage.
The MacBook Pro lineup has been updated with the new M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, which Apple says deliver up to 30 percent better performance. The chips also improve on-device AI capabilities, including faster processing of Large Language Models through enhanced Neural Accelerators. The laptops are available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes with Liquid Retina XDR displays and start at Rs 2,49,900.
Apple has also refreshed the MacBook Air with the M5 chipset, offering faster AI performance and improved overall processing power. The laptop features a 10-core CPU, next-generation GPU, faster SSD storage, and Apple’s N1 wireless chip. It is available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants and now includes a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera. The MacBook Air starts at Rs 1,19,900 in India.
Alongside these devices, Apple updated the iPad Air with the M4 chip and introduced two new monitors, the Studio Display and Studio Display XDR. Both displays feature 27-inch 5K panels, with the XDR model using mini-LED technology and offering higher HDR brightness and Adaptive Sync support. The iPad Air starts at Rs 64,900, while the Studio Display and Studio Display XDR are priced from Rs 1,89,900 and Rs 3,99,900 respectively.
