Another Censor Trouble Begins for Jana Nayagan?

Vijay Thalapathy has been making headlines ever since he launched his political party TVK (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam). While his divorce with wife Sangeetha and alleged relationship with Star actress continue to shake Tamil Nadu, his film Jana Nayagan that is battling with the release woes is also in the news for wrong reasons.

The censor trouble for the Jana Nayagan continues. Although it’s buzzed that the film’s censor would be completed and the film could release for March 19 coinciding with the Dhurandhar 2, it looks like there is no respite.

Buzz is that the Censor Board review committee screening for Jana Nayagan has been cancelled at the last minute. The reason is one of the committee members reportedly fell ill. The screening has now been postponed to March 17, delaying the certification process yet again.

This update has come as another setback for the film’s makers, who have already been facing multiple hurdles in the censor clearance stage. With the review committee show pushed further, the release schedule that was being planned for mid-March now appears uncertain.

Industry circles are now speculating that the delay could force the makers to push the release beyond the upcoming elections, as completing the certification process and arranging distribution within a short window may prove challenging.

For now, the fate of Jana Nayagan remains unclear, with the film’s release timeline hinging on the outcome of the rescheduled review committee screening on March 17.

On the whole, the uncertainty surrounding Vijay’s Jana Nayagan continues and fresh buzz is that the film may release only after general elections. It’s not clear when would Jana Nayagan hits the screens.
