Afcons Infrastructure Limited on Monday said it has been selected as the most suitable bidder for a railway rehabilitation and construction project in Croatia, marking the company’s entry into the European infrastructure market.
The project involves reconstruction of the existing track and construction of a second railway line on the Dugo Selo–Novska route, along with overhead electrification, signalling and telecommunication works.
The contract is valued at €677.07 million, excluding taxes, equivalent to around ₹7,544 crore, making it the company’s largest international order to date.
“This milestone project marks a significant step in Afcons’ global journey, with an entry into Europe. It reflects our ability to deliver complex, large-scale infrastructure solutions across geographies,” said Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Executive Chairman of Afcons Infrastructure.
S Paramasivan, Managing Director of the company, said the project aligns with the vision of “Making for the World” and strengthens India’s growing presence in global infrastructure development.
Afcons said the project underscores its long-term commitment to delivering large-scale international infrastructure projects and expanding its overseas footprint.
