India A vs Afghanistan A 2nd Highlights: Afghanistan A pulled off a stunning 4-run victory over India A via the DLS method in their Tri-Nation series clash at the Dambulla Cricket Stadium.

India remained on the losing side despite putting up 349 runs on the board as rain played spoilsport. Wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh led the charge with a blistering 84 off just 69 balls, while captain Tilak Varma anchored the middle order with a solid 60. Late fireworks from Suryansh Shedge (40) pushed the score way past the par line.

But Afghanistan A refused to back down from the massive chase.

Because of heavy rain, the target was revised to 294 in 38 overs. Afghanistan A launched a fierce counter-attack right from the start. Even after losing opener Hassan Eisakhil for 34, captain Imran Mir (75*) and senior batsman Bahir Shah (51*) completely took control. The duo put together a brilliant, unbeaten 108-run partnership for the third wicket, keeping their team just ahead of the required run rate.

Then, the weather turned. Bad light and heavy rain forced a permanent stoppage with Afghanistan A at 177/2 in 25.5 overs. When the umpires checked the sheets, Afghanistan A were crucially three runs ahead of the DLS par score and that confirmed their victory.
