Fenerbahce presidential candidate Hakan Safi has ruled out a move for Manchester United target Rafael Leao this summer.
Safi had a meeting with Leao last week and decided he wouldn’t be their next “hitman” going into the 2026/27 season.
In a press conference, Safi said: “I met Leao a few days ago, but after 10 minutes of chatting, I realised he won’t be our hitman. How did I realise that? Because we asked, we looked into it.”
As well as United, AC Milan’s wantaway winger Leao has attracted interest from a number of other Premier League clubs, such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United.
