Hey, roomie!
Modern Family stars Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould are living together in Los Angeles. Winter and Gould played siblings Alex and Luke Dunphy on the popular sitcom and have stayed friends since the series ended back in 2020. At that time, Winter traded in her L.A. life for something away from Hollywood, choosing to settle down in Nashville. However, after she split from her boyfriend, Luke Benward, in August 2025, Winter found herself spending more time in California.
“I rent a house with Nolan,” Winter told People magazine in an interview published on May 19. “People ask me about a Modern Family reboot, but Nolan and I are real roommates now. So it’s like we’re having our own little Modern Family reboot, but it’s just the two of us living together. So I see him every day.”
Winter went on to say that she thinks people would get a kick out of watching her and Gould interact—and they’ve even toyed with the idea of filming it.
“I’m not gonna lie, when we sit there at night and we watch, like, Temptation Island together, it’s pretty hilarious. So we have thought about it,” she told People. “We’re just like, ‘People would find this really funny.’”
As for what Winter is doing these days, she has a couple of new projects in the works. She wrapped filming for Clash of the Thundermans, an upcoming Nickelodeon and Paramount+ superhero comedy film that will debut sometime this year. She also lent her voice to the animated series Sofia the First: Royal Magic.
