The show opens with commentary welcoming us to the show.

We then get a video package hyping up the show.

Bron Breakker vs. Seth Rollins

Breakker charges in with a spear out the gates, Rollins leapfrogs him, sends him to the floor and dives on him! Brawling on the ramp, smashing Bron into the barricades left and right, back inside, a clothesline sends him back outside on the other side and Seth dives on him again! More brawling on the floor, Breakker scrambles inside this time, Rollins perches and dives but Bron catches him and belly-to-belly suplexes him over the ropes and to the floor!

This turns the tide for Breakker, he’s pressing his attack, working Rollins over, choking the life out of him with a bodyscissors reverse chinlock but Seth fights out with a jawbreaker! Laying chops in, whip reversed, quebradora from Bron… NO DEAL! Breakker back to the reverse chinlock, Rollins breaks free and gets fired up!

Seth walking in with punches, Bron off the ropes, head of steam, clothesline gets a nearfall! Series of German suplexes follow, trifecta gives way to a cover, only two! Rollins with slaps, Breakker asks for more and then clobbers him with a flurry of grounded punches! Dragging him up by his hair, throwing Seth into the corner for shoulder blocks, setting him up top, jockeying for position, Rollins bites him but he gets right back in… AVALANCHE FRANKENSTEINER IS ONLY GOOD FOR TWO!

Wading in with knees, Bron throws Seth out to the floor and goes out slow, triangulating, running around the way… A SUPERKICK COUNTERS THE SPEAR AND BOTH MEN ARE DOWN AND OUT ON THE FLOOR! Referee Danilo Anfibio counting, up to nine and they both beat the count! Rollins with a corner lariat to set up short-arm lariats in the middle of the ring, half a dozen of ‘em before he shifts to elbows to grind Breakker down!

Off the ropes, duck a lariat, big lariat of his own… BRON KICKS OUT! Thinking Blackout, Breakker gets up too fast and Seth shifts to a short boot, cover… STILL NO! Seth with the Danielson wrist-clutch stomps, charging out of the corner, Bron catches the stomp and gets to his feet, military press dropped into a double knee gutbuster!

Charging out of the corner, Rollins counters with a knee, malfunction at the junction over something, Seth drops his own self on his head and Bron gets a nearfall out of it! Breakker up in the turnbuckles, mounted punches, Rollins gets under him… BUCKLE BOMB! Seth off the ropes, Bron cuts him off with a desperate lariat and both men are down and out!

Out to the floor, Breakker bounces Rollins off the announce desk, breaks the count, up on the apron… DIVING LARIAT FROM OFF THE APRON AND ONTO THE ANNOUNCE DESK! Back inside, up top, Seth hops up to hit the superplex, rolls through… BREAKKER COUNTERS THE FALCON ARROW INTO ONE OF HIS OWN BUT ROLLINS KICKS OUT!

Bron takes Seth up top and, hits the avalanche Frankensteiner, takes him to the next corner, goes for another one but Rollins lands on his feet and nails him with a superkick! A second superkick, a third is blocked, goozle, Seth breaks free, underhooks, he hits the Pedigree and lines Breakker up… BLACKOUT!

Slow to capitalize, Paul Heyman hops up on the apron apoplectic for the distraction but Rollins just smiles and rolls to the floor and gets a chair out from under the ring! He looks around and sees Austin Theory and Logan Paul coming and wallops both of them with the chair! He takes Theory out and chases Paul up the ramp before rushing back inside and beating the count… AND RUNNING INTO A SPEAR! ROLLINS KICKS OUT AT THE LAST FRACTION OF A SECOND!

Bron takes the straps down, off the ropes, head of steam… PEDIGREE COUNTERS THE SPEAR! Seth pulls himself up in the corner, headed up to the second, he dives… AND BREAKKER CUTS HIM IN HALF WITH A SPEAR! Bron off the ropes, head of steam…

Bron Breakker wins by pinfall with a spear.

Sami Zayn makes his entrance ahead of our next match.

Trick Williams is interviewed backstage with Lil Yachty in tow.

He tells Sami Zayn to quit lying about having more experience because he runs this game and he’s gonna see tonight.

Williams and Yachty (carrying the candy cane kendo stick from last night) make their entrance as well.

Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams (c) (WWE Men’s United States Championship)

A shoving match breaks out before the bell and referee Aja Perera barely manages to get the situation back under control.

Collar and elbow at the bell, Williams forces Zayn into the corner, turned around, Sami piefaces him with a vengeance, lays chops in, back to the middle, duck under, shot off, big leaping lariat from Trick! Chops in the corner, Zayn down and out, Williams puts boots to him to the tune of thunderous “Whoop that trick!” chants!

Action to the floor, Trick lays him out, whip reversed and Sami puts him hard into the steel steps! Back inside, Zayn presses the attack, punches in the corner, whip across, lariat, cover for one! More covers, still no deal, hammering overhand slaps, Williams recovers, jumping neckbreaker, both men are down and out!

Back on their feet, off the ropes, Trick with a leg lariat, follows it up with a powerslam, Zayn sidesteps a kick, Blue Thunder Driver blocked, Williams hits the Book End but it’s only good for a nearfall! Up top, jockeying for position, sunset flip powerbomb from Sami, only a nearfall!

Laying in wait, charging in, Trick counters with a kick, Sami dodges the Cyclone Kill, hits the Blue Thunder Driver… SO CLOSE! Whip reversed, leapfrog, Zayn lands bad on his knee and Perera has to check him, it’s a fakeout, small package for two! Dumping Trick in the corner, Lil Yachty runs interference and it backfires when Sami hits Williams with a kendo stick… BUT TRICK WILLIE KICKS OUT!

Zayn putting boots to him in the corner, referee Aja Perera warns him off repeatedly, he goes and lays in wait, Yachty hits him with the kendo stick, Trick in with the Cyclone Kill… SAMI KICKS OUT! Slinging Williams out to the floor, Zayn heads out after him, Lil Yachty gets involved again but Zayn beats him down and lays him out with the kendo stick!

Trick recovered, clobbers Sami with a lariat, fighting on top of the bottom step… ZAYN HITS A DDT ON THE DIAMOND PLATE! Going back to Yachty, Helluva Kick to the back of his head! Back inside, Sami lays in wait, charges in… TRICK SIDESTEPS THE HELLUVA KICK! TRICKSHOT CONNECTS! IT’S OVER!

Trick Williams wins by pinfall with Trickshot, retaining the WWE Men’s United States Championship.

Post-match, Yachty makes it rain in the ring while Trick celebrates.

The show moves off of ESPN2 at this point, so commentary vamps for a few minutes, hyping up what’s left of the show.

Kit Wilson and the Miz make their entrances for our next match.

Danhausen made a whole short film for his mystery partner, recapping his feud with the Miz.

The cloning machine from last night is wheeled out on stage and Danhausen makes his entrancehausen in the Danhausenmobile. He parks in the ramp and hops out to go check out the cloning machine, showing it off from left and from right, pulling the door open as smoke spews out of it…

A MINI DANHAUSEN STEPS OUT! They high five and drive the rest of the way to the ring together.

Danhausen & Minihausen vs. Kit Wilson & the Miz

Minihausen starts the match opposite Wilson and Kit just blasts the poor guy with a kick. Dragging him to center of ring, he pops up, lands on his feet, rolls through, lays kicks in, whip across, springboard elbow takes Kitty off his feet! Off the ropes, satellite tijeras, Miz tags in, off the ropes, big tijeras sends the A-Lister to the floor!

Wilson back in, knuckle lock from Minihausen, walking the ropes, diving Frankensteiner countered, punches counter back and the Frankensteiner sends Kit to the floor! Up top, standing on full-size Danhausen’s shoulders and leaping off for a diving splash! Back inside, heels work together to get a cheap shot in on Mini, Miz tags back in.

Kit scoops Minihausen up and throws him to the A-Lister, who catches him and military presses him before tossing him into a powerslam! Miz fired up and flexing, double suplex, Miz steps away so Wilson can hold the delayed vertical before dropping him down, one-hand cover… NOT ENOUGH! Another cover, still no fall.

Reverse chinlock on Minihausen, swinging him around, Kitty sets him up in the corner, into the Bush of Woe but Minihausen sits up to duck the dropkick and moonsaults on him! Danhausen tags in, corner to corner lariats on both heels, stacking ‘em up, German suplex on Wilson! DDT on the Miz, Danhausen sits up, calling for it, pump kick on Kit, the A-Lister legal, rolls him up, cover for two!

Big boot from Miz, tag to Minihausen, sidestep the Awesome Clothesline, diving Frankensteiner on Wilson, off the ropes, suicide dive takes both heels out! Minihausen chasing Kit up to the stage but Wilson outfoxes him and nails him with a boot! He throws Minihausen into the cloning machine and closes the door on him!

Kit walking back to the ramp but the cloning machine reactivates! Minihausen comes out… JOINED BY ABOUT FIVE MORE MINI DANHAUSENS! They chase Wilson to the ring, the original Mini gets him in a fireman’s carry, airplane spin connects! Kit down and out in the corner, he shows Minihausen himself with a mirror but he’s stunned! Miz from behind him, Skull-Crushing Finale… DANHAUSEN BREAKS IT UP!

Danhausen tags in, Miz slaps him, Danhausen comes back with the most awkward Lou Thesz Press I’ve seen this side of Kelly Kelly and sends him packing with punches! Fighting Kit off, going to the floor, the A-Lister tries to fire extinguisher Danhausen but the curse makes him spray himself and Kit Wilson with the CO2!

Stumbling back inside, Danhausen curses Miz, Minihausen dives on Wilson, full-sized Dan charges in…

Danhausen & Minihausen win by pinfall with a pump kick from Danhausen on the Miz.

Post-match, all the various sizes of Danhausen celebrate on the stage in front of the cloning machine.

The lights go down but they come back up before they can disappear, so we see them scrambling off stage right together.

We get a special announcement for September, which is that AAA Triplemania is two nights this year, September 11 and September 13, which WWE touts as the first time ever, but here’s the problem with that– Triplemania has been held across multiple nights off and on for years, ever since Triplemania II.

IYO SKY makes her entrance ahead of our next match, followed shortly thereafter by Asuka, as these things usually go.

Collar and elbow, struggling to the corner and out of it, rolling through, staying together, SKY gets her in the ropes and Asuka breaks dirty with a shove! Ducking and dodging, IYO with a legsweep and a dropkick and she’s fired up! Putting boots to the Empress in the corner, Asuka fights back with a biel but SKY lands on her feet!

Asuka out to the apron, trips IYO up in the ropes, taking her out to the barricade to smash her face into it, back inside to break referee Jason Ayers’ count. Kawada kicks from the floor, back inside, cloverleaf in the ropes for the full count of four! Choking SKY in the ropes, disdainful kicks in the corner, IYO back on her feet, wading in with punches, off the ropes, Asuka cuts her off with a kick, cover for two!

Standing armbar from the Empress, SKY to her feet, Asuka cuts her down with a mat slam and unloads palm strikes on her! Chest kicks, IYO catches one eventually, big forearm, Frankensteiner roll through to a double stomp, both women are down and out! Duck a lariat, SKY throwing a trifecta of Shotei, whip reversed, out to the apron, shoulder armbreaker, IYO goes up top for a missile dropkick!

SKY fired up, corner knees, lateral press… NOPE! Underhooks, Asuka slips out, strike rush, sliding knee, cover… IYO KICKS OUT! Bridging German suplex, Asuka kicks out, grabs a double wristlock in the middle of the ring! Shifting to a Fujiwara armbar, SKY rolls away and nails her with a kick! Charging in, Empress with the boot up, the Alarm Clock knee, IYO hits a crescent kick and both women are down and out again!

Thinking Asuka Lock, she gets it, SKY fighting back to her feet, breaking loose with back elbows, Empress grabs a cross armbar on her in the middle of the ring! IYO rolls through and grabs an Asuka Lock of her own! Asuka gets to the apron for the break, pulls SKY’s hair to put her face-first into the turnbuckles!

IYO hits a Shotei, climbs up top with her, avalanche Frankensteiner reversed into a sunset flip… NO DEAL! Dropkick puts Asuka through the ropes, SKY willing life back into her arm off the ropes, the Empress counters the dive with an elbow! Putting IYO on the announce desk, clearing it, climbing up there with her, jockeying for position, Asuka goes for the mist… BUT IYO GRABS WADE BARRETT’S NOTEBOOK AND BLOCKS THE MIST!

Back heel trip on the desk, diving crossbody off it, up on the apron, Asai moonsault connects a little loose but it connects! Back inside, up top, nobody home on the moonsalt and Asuka grabs a cross armbar on the bad arm again! Shifting to a triangle choke, shifting to the Asuka lock, IYO fighting, desperate, fading, but she manages to reverse into a cover for a nearfall and to break the hold!

Trading right hands from their knees and to their feet, Asuka blocks a flash kick and hits a German suplex! SKY with a German suplex of her own, corner knees, headed up top…

IYO SKY wins by pinfall with the diving moonsault.

Post-match, both women are emotional and IYO SKY bows deep to her mentor. Asuka just full-on sobbing now, a big smile breaks out and she hugs IYO and gives her a sweet lil kiss on the forehead! Raising SKY’s hand, they go back to the hug, Asuka blows a kiss and leaves as IYO throws a heart up for the crowd.

We see Dan Spivey and Steve Keirn in the crowd.

John Cena makes his entrance for whatever big announcement he’s got cooked up.

Whatever big announcement John Cena has cooked up

John Cena gets on the mic and says this is so cool, honestly, and one of the great things about being on this side is he gets to lean into these moments because he knows nobody is coming down behind him to kick his teeth in and he thanks us for that and for the sold-out house full of gratitude and energy.

He’s been thinking since his last match what the next phase of his WWE career is, which gets THUNDEROUS “One more match!” chants. He says we don’t know how good that makes him feel and he thinks a lot about that last match, that last evening, and he knows some people were upset, but he was truly happy.

He reflects a lot on that evening and he couldn’t be more happy with how it went because we all made it something bigger, an evening of opportunity. He wanted his opponent to earn the spot and he wanted his fellow WWE Superstars to give NXT talent a chance to show what they got, and on that stage we saw for the first time Sol Ruca, Je’Von Evans, and Oba Femi (who gets LOUD chants of his own).

Cena hopes Oba is listening because this is what the energy sounds like four months after he debuts. Anyway, then it hit him, damn we gotta do this again, so we are. He is so honored tonight to announce to you the John Cena Classic, an entire evening of the best of today competing with the best of tomorrow.

So we have a brand new event, and a brand new championship in WWE. And not just any championship, it’s a championship he’s putting his name on, and he’s always said the most important player in WWE is the WWE Universe, because your voice will be louder than ever, since we get to vote on who gets to be champion.

For the first time ever, a wrestler can lose his match but still win the title through the power of our votes. (…what?) And he doesn’t want to do this just once, he wants to do it for five years, ten years, thirty years, the sky’s the limit. He further wants to take a moment to thank stars like Oba Femi who made this happen, and he lays out so the crowd can chant loud for Oba.

He thanks everyone here and watching and all of Tampa Bay for the energy and the noise and it sounds like they’re ready, so he’ll see us at the John Cena Classic, but now it’s time for your main event!

We cut back to commentary, with the Mug Root Beer dog looming behind them to give them cans of root beer, which they slam back to the man in the dog mascot mask and sparkly blazer’s delight.

The preshow panel appears to talk about who’s gonna be on the post-show and hype up the main event.

Jacob Fatu makes his entrance ahead of our main event, followed thereafter by Roman Reigns.

“Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu vs. Roman Reigns (c) (WWE Men’s World Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow, Reigns with a side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, Fatu pops right up! Jacob with a side headlock, shot off, shoulder block but Roman doesn’t pop right back up! Drop down, leapfrog, big lariat but Fatu stands firm and drops Reigns with a lariat of his own! Clothesline sends the champion to the floor, the Samoan Werewolf off the ropes, suicide dive right into the Tongan Death Grip and he smashes Roman into the ringpost!

Throwing the OTC back inside, Fatu looks at his taped fingers with violent joy in his heart and goes over to Reigns only to get snapped over the ropes! Roman wrenches his arm over the ropes, working the hand, back inside, arm wringer and he snaps Jacob’s arm so hard he goes to one knee! Putting him into the corner, wrenching his arm using Fatu’s own body as an anvil but Jacob fights back with headbutts and elbows!

Corner lariats from the Tribal Chief, Fatu grabs his arm, walks him into the middle of the ring and drops him with a lariat! He puts Reigns shoulder-first into the post, whip reversed, big leaping lariat from Roman! Off the ropes, big boot knocks Jacob down, Reigns throws his one up, calls for it… FATU KICKS OUT OF THE SUPERMAN PUNCH AT ONE!

Reigns in disbelief, Jacob fired up, trading right hands, whip across, front kick cuts Fatu off but he fires up and lands a lariat and follows it with a senton! Pressing his attack, Ode to Rikishi connects, charging back in, another Superman Punch… ANOTHER NEARFALL! Jacob out to the apron, Roman comes around with the Drive-By and clears the announce desk!

Fatu cuts him off with the Tongan Death Grip… AND POWERBOMBS HIM THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE DESK! Back inside, fired up, Roman recovers, hits the spear… FATU WILL NOT STAY DOWN! Reigns pulling himself up in the ropes, trying to get himself back into the fight as the crowd chants “OTC!”, and he howls… JACOB COUNTERS THE SPEAR WITH A SAMOAN DROP AND HITS THE MOONSAULT AFTER BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP ROMAN DOWN!

Grounded punches to the champion, up top, senton atomico… BUT REIGNS GETS THE KNEES UP! Trading great big staggering punches in the middle of the ring, Fatu with a pair of Odes to Rikishi, calling for it and he puts the Tongan Death Grip back on! Reigns fading, gasping for breath, he’s almost out but he firses up and breaks free, ramming Jacob into the corner… AND INTO REFEREE SHAUN BENNETT!

Superman Punch connects, Bennett still conscious, another Superman Punch, Fatu cuts off a third with a superkick, pops him up, Roman with a Superman Punch on the fall, off the ropes, spear… JACOB FATU KICKS OUT! Back to the Tongan Death Grip, Reigns in his desperation grabs Bennett’s collar, the turnbuckle pad torn off in the struggle, Roman manages to put Fatu into it to break the Tongan Death Grip!

Roman Reigns wins by pinfall with a spear, retaining the WWE Men’s World Championship.

Post-match, Fatu puts the Tongan Death Grip back on, Shaun Bennett pulls him away and gets thrown into the ropes! Jacob goes back to the Tongan Death Grip and again the referee pulls him off! This time Fatu pulls him in and hits a Samoan drop on the beleaguered referee! Back to the Tongan Death Grip, referees and road agents swarm and “Hurricane” Shane Helms eats a superkick! Jacob throws Raw general manager Adam Pearce to the floor!

Fatu puts the Tongan Death Grip back on and chokes the life out of Roman, finally relenting but only after leaving Reigns gasping and drooling onto his title belt. Jacob backs up the ramp, bleeding from the mouth and licking his taped up fingers… AND HE GOES BACK TO THE RING FOR MORE, DIVING RIGHT INTO PUTTING THE TONGAN DEATH GRIP ON THE TRIBAL CHIEF!

Pearce pulling at his hair, Jason Jordan and Jamie Noble trying their damnedest to help but Fatu only lets go when he wants!

Jacob stands tall with the title belt.

That’s the show, folks.
