The Internazionali BNL d’Italia main draw kicks off Wednesday in Rome. But the tennis festivities have already begun in The Eternal City.
ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi was part of a group that on Monday visited the Quirinale, the official residence of Sergio Mattarella, the President of Italy.
Gaudenzi had an opportunity to speak with Mattarella alongside Italian Tennis and Padel Federation President Angelo Binaghi.
The draw for the season’s fifth ATP Masters 1000 event also took place Monday, at the historic Piazza del Popolo. Italian Jannik Sinner, the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, headlines the field. Sinner will try to become just the second player to complete the Career Golden Masters.
The Internazionali BNL d’Italia will take place at the Foro Italico through 17 May.
