Costco Shopper Walks Out With A Ryzen 9800X3D + RTX 5070 PC Build For $1,100 While Others Pay $2,000

For a configuration including a powerful CPU like Ryzen 9800X3D and one of the best mid-range GPUs on the planet, a price tag of just $1,100 seems like a steal.

User Buys Ryzen 9800X3D-RTX 5070 PC Build With 32 GB DDR5 and 2 TB SSD for Just $1,100 on Costco

Once again, we see another lucky buyer snagging a complete PC build for almost half the price one would have to pay in the RAMpocalypse era. We used to see such stories a lot in recent weeks, but these are still rare and occasional. While some users are happy to grab a GPU for less than MSRP, there are those who manage a full PC build for much lower than the usual listing price.

The Redditor u/omahrr posts his story on the r/pcmasterrace sub-Reddit boasting about his newly bought gaming PC from Costco. He said that when he stumbled upon this PC, he had to buy it “instantly”. He says he didn’t need it, but he bought it to sell it to his friend for the same price. It’s a good move since such deals are claimed immediately and Costco is well-known for hosting such deals.

The PC specifications clearly show that the price of this PC build must be close to $2,000, but he was able to claim it for just $1,175 ($1,100 + $75 taxes). It uses the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the fastest gaming processor, featuring 8-core/16-thread configuration based on the AMD Zen 5 architecture and a 96 MB L3 cache for superb gaming performance. Paired with the GeForce RTX 5070, this machine is a beast for triple-A gaming and can easily deliver 60+ FPS at 1440p on ultra settings.

However, the best part is not the CPU or the GPU, but the 32 GB DDR5 RAM and 2 TB NVMe SSD combo that currently cost nearly $700-$800. For an additional $300, this PC brings the $1,000 CPU-GPU combo, a 360mm AIO, a mid-tower, and a power supply. Plus, the PC is bundled with a free keyboard and mouse combo. If you remember, this deal is very similar to the one we posted a month ago, and it’s likely the same iBUYPOWER Gaming PC that was previously listed for $1,000.

Good thing about this PC is that it wasn’t open-box, but was a completely new build and was the last in stock on that particular Costco store. This story is a reminder that you don’t need to shop online every time. Sometimes a quick look at your local Costco or Walmart store can let you score excellent hardware for much cheaper.
