Linda Noskova vs. Coco Gauff
Alexander Blockx vs. Felix Auger-Aliassime
I have Noskova to win this quarter, so I already have a little riding on this match. However, I do think there’s a good chance she’ll keep this match close, so I’m using a +5.5 game spread as a parlay anchor for Monday. Noskova’s just a much better server than Gauff at this point in time. In fact, since the start of 2026, the young Czech is holding at an 80.3% clip. That’s the third-best mark on the WTA Tour. Also, it’s not like Noskova is a “bot.” She’s a really good baseliner, with power off both wings and a pretty complete overall toolkit. That said, as long as she can avoid an outrageous number of unforced errors, I see her having her chances in this one.
Auger-Aliassime to beat Blockx is what I’m pairing up with the Noskova alternate spread. I don’t normally rush to back Auger-Aliassime on clay, but the Canadian enjoys the conditions in Madrid. His big serve and forehand both get rewarded in the quicker conditions, and he’s able to play some better defense than normal. Of course, Blockx is a player that is currently in the midst of a big-time breakout, and it’s clear he has the tools to win big matches. But this feels like one in which he’s running up against a guy with similar weapons but more experience.
PARLAY: Noskova Alt +5.5 Games & Auger-Aliassime ML (-116)
Karen Khachanov vs. Jakub Mensik
This is going to be a really fun matchup, as both players are big, athletic, and possess great two-handed backhands. However, this is a match I expect Mensik to win.
Khachanov’s ability to redirect balls down the line with his backhand is sensational, but Mensik’s two-hander is more of an overall weapon. Mensik is also the better server, which is crucial in Madrid. Over the last 52 weeks, Mensik’s TennisViz Serve Quality in non-majors is 8.6, which is a good amount higher than Khachanov’s 8.1. The two also happen to have the same exact Return Quality (6.9), so that difference in serving is big.
I know Mensik is 0-2 in two career meetings with Khachanov, making it seem a little odd he’s such a heavy favorite. But those matches were played in March of 2025 and February of 2024. We haven’t seen them play in 2026. Well, Mensik is 16-8 since the start of the 2026 season, while Khachanov is just 8-10. The Czech could very well be the better player now.
Bet: Mensik ML (-155 – 1.5 units)
NOTE: While only two picks are written up here, I usually have more on the Pro Picks page. I try to select the plays I write up based on player popularity. Some of the picks on the Pro Picks page are higher-confidence selections.
