Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPhones later this year, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max likely to headline the lineup. While the company has yet to officially confirm any details, early leaks and industry chatter offer a glimpse into what could distinguish the two premium devices.
As with previous Pro models, the most noticeable difference between the two phones will likely be their size. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch OLED display, while the Pro Max variant may continue with a larger 6.9-inch screen, similar to its predecessor. Both displays are rumoured to support a 120Hz refresh rate and could reach peak brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits. Apple may also refine the design further by reducing the size of the Dynamic Island, enhancing screen real estate. However, the larger display naturally means the Pro Max will be bulkier and heavier than the standard Pro model.
Battery performance is another area where the Pro Max is expected to take the lead. Its bigger frame allows for a larger battery; a trend Apple has consistently followed.
