Fitbit 4.68 rolling out sleep editing, motivational Coach messages

In addition to the Sleep Score redesign, Fitbit this week is rolling out version 4.68 of the Android and iOS apps as a sizable update.

On Android, you can once again edit Sleep logs. Select last night’s summary and open the three-dot overflow menu for “Edit Sleep.” This is coming to Fitbit for iOS “soon.”

All the other updates are focused on the Coach, starting with personalized motivational messages in the Today tab. They will appear throughout the day, including Morning Moments, Post-Workout Summaries, and End-of-Day or End-of-Week updates.

Fitbit is introducing Conversational Check-Ins that let you “interact with your coach more naturally using the revamped text check-in feature.”

When you receive a workout from Coach, Fitbit will provide step-by-step workout guidance.

In response to feedback, Fitbit has updated fitness Coach recommendations to be more flexible: “You’ll now receive personalized weekly targets and tailored workout recommendations designed specifically to help you reach your health goals.”

Note: For Public Preview users with previous plans, you can still download or delete your existing scheduled plans here. Our team is actively iterating on this feature to bring you even more improvements—stay tuned!

Fitbit also previewed the ability to “adapt your workout plans through conversational interactions” with the Coach. There will also be “Adapt missions or Adapt workout buttons in the Fitness tab.” This feature is “coming in a later update.”

Fitbit 4.68 is now available for iOS and still rolling out to Android users.
