As the former high-stakes clash between ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ and ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ cooled down with the latter postponing its release, a new social media controversy emerged. ‘Dhurandhar’ star Sara Arjun’s father issued a stern clarification regarding a viral post that appeared to mock the rescheduled release of Yash’s ‘Toxic’. The fake post, which used the tagline “No toxicity, only Dhurandhar,” sparked an online debate just days before the trailer release of Ranveer Singh’s action epic, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge.’ Clarifying that the 20-year-old actress who plays the pivotal role of Yalina Jameel is not even on X (formerly Twitter), her father emphasized the industry’s “big family” values and urged fans to stop spreading misinformation ahead of the film’s March 19, 2026, theatrical release.
Sara Arjun’s father addresses a fake post taking a dig at ‘Toxic’
A statement on social media read, “Hi everyone, a fake account is circulating a post in Sara’s name saying, ‘No toxicity, only Dhurandhar.’ For clarity – Sara is not on Twitter – and she would never write something like this.”
The post further read, “We belong to the same film industry, which is like one big family for us. Sara has been brought to respect every artist and every film. She would be the last person to promote her work by speaking negatively about anyone.”The statement further emphasized, “Sara is only on Instagram. Any other account anywhere else in her name is FAKE. Please don’t believe or spread such posts—a concerned father.”
