West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said AAP’s landslide win in Delhi “is turning point of present political situation.”
“Delhi election is turning point of present political situation. Shows political vendetta has no place in a democracy. Country needed this change,” Banerjee, whose Trinamool Congress backed the AAP in the elections, tweeted.
“My hearty congratulations to AAP for sweeping Delhi Elections. All the best @ArvindKejriwal the new CM,” she said.
“This is a victory for the people and a big defeat for the arrogant and those who are doing political vendetta & spreading hate among people,” she said.
The AAP’s sweep in Delhi, defeating the BJP, is similar to the landslide win the Trinamool Congress recorded in West Bengal decimating the Left Front.
Ironically, the Left too backed the AAP in this election.
