Aditi Rao Hydari has established a strong presence in the South with a slew of films – three Tamil, two Telugu and one Malayalam.
The actress reportedly credits her success in the region to the two films that she did with Mani Ratnam – ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ (2017) and ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ (2018).
In an interview, she said that on doing two back-to-back films with Ratnam, the entire South belt opened up for her and she started getting offers by good directors. The actress reportedly started shooting one film after another after ‘Padmaavat’ released last year.
Currently working on three South, which includes ‘Psycho’, ‘V’ and Dhanush’s next, Aditi describes her experience of working in southern cinema as “amazing” and that she does not want to let go of the offers it offered her more challenges as an actress.
While she is super impressed with the work culture in South, Aditi has no intention of cutting down on Hindi films. She wants to strike a balance between the two cinemas. She has reportedly signed one film, which is yet to be announced.
