This is what Shraddha Kapoor has to say about Nawazuddin Siddiqui's tweet
He is one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors. If he can pull off the role of a local journalist in Bajrangi Bhaijaan with elan, he can play the gangster with perfection in Gangs Of Wasseypur. That’s Nawazuddin Siddiqui for you. Despite being one of the best actors in Bollywood in recent times, the 43-year-old actor is still facing a tough time in the films because of his unconventional looks.

The Raman Raghav actor took everyone by surprise when he shared a post of Twitter hinting at racism in film industry. He wrote, “Thank U 4 making me realise dat I cannot b paired along wid d fair and handsome bcz I m dark and not good looking, but I never focus on that. (sic)”

And soon enough, the debate over racism in Bollywood started. Talking about the same, Shraddha Kapoor, who will be next seen in Haseena Parkar, told India Today, “I have always said that personally my definition of beauty is very different. You can come from any background or cast, you can have any skin color, but I feel true beauty radiates from within. Of course, I feel that in our society there are pressures, but I don’t agree that it’s only in the film industry. Our industry is always in the limelight and that’s the reason it gets highlighted.”

She added, “I feel what’s important is how to deal with that pressure, and understand the things that truly matter. I feel that there are pressures but it’s how you handle them that matters. I feel beauty is skin deep.”

However, last year in an interview, Nawazuddin had praised the film industry for giving priority to talent over good looks. He had claimed that there is no racism in Bollywood.
