The makers of ‘Made In China’ recently dropped in the song Sanedo wherein the lead actors Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy have freestyled the song their way gripping the Garba vibe. Reportedly, director Mikhil Musale had asked the on-screen pair to just have fun and flow with the rhythm of the song. Both the actors enjoyed shooting for the song Rajkummar loved the Garba dance form while for Mouni performing this dance form on-screen was a first.
Talking to a leading tabloid about their experience Mouni said this was her first attempt at Garba. They have a small Garba sequence in one of the scenes in the film as well which was choreographed by Vijay Ganguly and Shruti taught her how to do it. Taking cues from there, she and Raj decided to try their hands at some Garba choreography in Sanedo. Given our love for dance, Mikhil’s brief of just having a good time and doing their own thing without directed choreography was like leaving two kids at a candy store. They just went all out. It was so much fun and they enjoyed every bit of it.
Adding further Rajkummar averred that he loved Garba as a dance form. While shooting for Sanedo, Mikhil’s brief to them was to let loose and add our bit to the choreography wherever they wanted. Keeping up with this classic Navratri number, he and Mouni decided to break into their version of an impromptu Garba.
The film also stars Gajraj Rao, Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani in key roles. Helmed by Mikhil Musale, the film will clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 4’ and Taapsee Pannu-Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ this Diwali.
