Nepali Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is all set to announce his resignation , he said he will submit his resignation to President Ram Baran Yadav shortly.
Koirala said he will resign to pave way for the election of a new prime minister. Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), is tipped to become the next prime minister of the country.
Koirala, the leader of the Nepali Congress, was elected as Prime Minister on February 10, 2014. Late last month, President Ram Baran Yadav had announced the adoption of a new secular and democratic constitution, which marked Nepal’s transformation from a Hindu monarchy to a secular democracy.
