Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas’ political career may have suffered a setback after the General Elections loss, but the renowned Hindi poet’s fortunes are flourishing.
Reports say that the AAP leader has been approached by Endemol, the makers of the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. Vishwas has reportedly been offered Rs 5 crore for the show, which is scheduled to be aired in the month of September.
Though Vishwas has confirmed that he has been approached by the ‘Bigg Boss’ makers, but he didn’t give any further details. However, reports say that the former lecturer has given his nod for the show.
Besides this, the AAP leader will be delivering a lecture at the Stanford University and also address Google employees at its headquarters in California soon.
Vishwas, who has penned a number of poems, has another reason to cheer, as legendary Bollywood actress Asha Bhonsle will be lending her voice to one of the songs written by him.
Some reports also say that Vishwas has increased his fees for his stage shows.
Vishwas, who unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha elections against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, agrees that his popularity has increased after he decided to challenge the Gandhi scion in the recently held polls.
The AAP leader performed very poorly in the parliamentary elections and managed to bag only 25,527 votes. Rahul got the majority share of 408,651 votes, while BJP’s Smriti Irani won 300,748.
Because of his meagre vote share, Vishwas even lost his deposit money.
