I would have slapped ‘Ravana’ Dhoni, says Yuvraj’s father – Yograj Singh

Yograj Singh has yet again vented his anger on Mahendra Singh Dhoni for exclusion from excluding his son Yuvraj from India’s squad in ICC World Cup 2015.

“Dhoni was nothing. He has become a God in cricket just because of media. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved”, Yograj reportedly told a Hindi news channel.

“There was a time when he had nothing but today he sits in front of media and rips off media persons. He laughs at media who has given him so much hype. He laughs at the Indian people who clap when he scores a run,” Yograj, a former all-rounder in the 1970s, said.

“Honestly, if I were a media person, I would have slapped Dhoni right there”, Yograj said, adding the ODI skipper would become penniless one day.

Yograj also went on to compare Dhoni with Ramayana’s mythological villain Ravana.

“Dhoni is arrogant. The way Ravana’s pride came to an end, Dhoni will also suffer some day,” he said.

This is not for the first time, Yograj has lambasted Dhoni. Before the mega tournament began, he said :”I want to know what is (Mahendra Singh) Dhoni’s problem with my son. He played for the country even when he was suffering from cancer. I don’t understand this.”

“If Dhoni is having personal issues with my son, I won’t do anything, God will do justice,” added Yograj.

Yuvraj then immediately tweeted to clear the matter.

“Like every parent my dad is also passionate and I am sure got carried away… always enjoyed playing under Mahi and would do so in future,” Yuvraj tweeted.

Yuvraj had also emerged the most expensive player in the previous auction when he was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs.12 crore.
