After seeing Hrithik Roshan in a teacher’s role in Super 30, we will soon see the star slip back into his superhero avatar in Krrish 4. While rumours were doing the rounds for quite some time now, the actor has now confirmed that Krrish 4 is very much happening. Confirming the rumours, in an interview with ZoomTV.com, Hrithik Roshan has said that the team is in the final stage of the script.
When asked about the development on the fourth film in the superhero series, the Super 30 actor told the website, “So, we are in the final stage of the script. It’s script’s final stage is where we are at. That’s what I would say.”
There are also rumours that the film will go on floors soon and will have a Christmas 2020 release. Talking about it, the actor said, “Uh..depends on what I plan to do next. If I plan to do another film before Krrish 4 then maybe that (the release date of Christmas 2020) will shift.”
Hrithik Roshan’s last superhero film Krrish 3 starred Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi. The film was a huge hit at the box office with a total collection of Rs 244.92 crore. It is only after this film that the great Hrithik-Kangana controversy began. The actors, who did Kites before Krrish 3, came closer during the shoot of the film. While they never openly confessed their relationship, they neither denied it. Hrithik’s divorce with wife Suzzane in 2013 gave impetus to rumours with many blaming Kangana for the separation.
The mess between the actors began in 2016 when they indulged in a Twitter spat. Since then both the parties have been accusing each other of lying and have filed lawsuits against each other.
Currently, Hrithik Roshan is riding high on the success of his last release Super 30. It is based on the life of Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar, who is the founder of the Super 30 programme in which he trains 30 meritorious but economically-backward students for the IIT-JEE entrance exams every year. The programme has a fantastic success rate.
The film is enjoying an amazing run at the box office with a total collection of Rs 127.32 crore till now. Super 30 has been made tax-free in several states, including Delhi Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar.
