According to the latest Indian media reports Anthony D’Souza’s Boss raked in over 31 crores in just three days of its release. The film is being considered as one of Akshay Kumar’s biggest openers.
The film which hit the screens on the auspicious occasion of Eid reportedly grossed over 15 crores on Wednesday, 8.15 crores on Thursday and over 8.5 crores on Friday, amassing a total of over 31 crores at the box office.
‘Boss’ has become the fourth highest opener of 2013 following Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Race 2’.
Ecstatic with the response it received on the first day the 46-year-old actor was quoted as saying “today (Wednesday) is the first day of release (of Boss). Everything is going fine. I am very happy that it has got a good response.”
‘Boss’ is a Bollywood action-masala film directed by Anthony D’Souza. The film features Akshay Kumar alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ronit Roy in supporting roles.
