RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav doesn’t let go of any opportunity to take a dig at the BJP.
Close on the heels of US President Barack Obama’s recently concluded three-day visit, Lalu took a swipe at the saffron party and said that the BJP was an American party.
He said that he had been saying this for years now and with the way the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre has handled and promoted the US President’s visit, it is very much evident that the party is an American party.
At the same time, he praised Obama for his speech at Siri Fort Auditorium where he had said that India should not be divided on the basis of colour or religion. This, Lalu said, was a direct reference to the BJP, which he claimed had been doing the same over the past few years.
