Ayushmann Khurrana ’s hit film from last year, received another well-deserved recognition by bagging the ‘Best Film’ at the National Film Awards 2018.
The film was widely loved by the masses and the critics. Its massive critical and commercial acclaim has achieved the film its cult status. The National Award was an honourable addition to its long list of acclaims.
Ayushmann Khurrana also won the ‘Best Actor’ National Award for the film.
The film revolves around a blind pianist (played by Ayushmann Khurrana) who must report a murder that he witnessed. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this film went on to break barriers in the film industry being an art film which was also received commercially well. The critically acclaimed film made massive business at the box office by crossing the Rs.100-crore mark in India which catapulted its release in China.
Ayushmann Khurrana is currently on a career giving back to back hits with films like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Badhai Ho’ and ‘Article 15.’ His choice of picking content-driven films is making him a fan-favourite.
His latest venture is ‘Dreamgirl’ with Ekta Kapoor and her production house Balaji Telefilms. It’s directed by Raaj Shandilya, produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Ashish Singh. Dreamgirl is all set to release on 19 September 2019.
