Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address a rally at Jantar Mantar against the Land Bill and might also march towards Parliament on Wednesday.
Apart from the party supporters, the rally will also be attended by farmers from Delhi and neighbouring states.
While addressing a press conference ahead of the proposed rally, AAP leader Kumar Vishwas attacked Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for trying to gain political mileage from the issue and challenged him to distinguish among different crops.
In a resolution passed by the party’s National Council on 28 March, the party had decided to hold a march against the Bill and had formed a committee in this regard.
The committee comprises senior party leaders Ilyas Azmi, Prem Singh Pahadi, Yogesh Dahiya, Somendra Dhaka, Gurnam Singh and Kiran Vissa who are working out the details of the agitation programme.
The pending legislation, entitled the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill, seeks to replace the ordinance that was promulgated in December.
