Abhinav Bindra

Ace Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra won a gold medal in Men’s 10m Air Rifle. It is yet another superb performance from Abhinav, who had earlier announced that this would be his last CWG appearance.

Abdullah Baki of Bangladesh, who put a strong fight in the latter part of the event won the silver medal. Daniel Rivers of England won the bronze medal.

It is India’s second medal in shooting after 16-year-old Malaika Goel won silver in 10m Air Pistol final earlier in the day.

INDIAN SHOOTERS MAKE A POSITIVE START

As expected, the Indian shooters have started their campaign on a good note as ace Indian shooter Heena Sidhu qualified for the 10-metre air pistol finals of the 2014 Commonwealth Games by winning maximum points in qualification at the Barry Buddon Shooting centre here Friday.
