50 AAP workers join BJP in Ghaziabad

As many as 50 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers including a woman leader, who accused an “influential” party leader of sending her vulgar messages, today joined BJP in Kavi Nagar area here.

AAP’s former woman leader, Kavita Verma told that when she approached senior party leaders about the issue of her counterpart allegedly sending vulgar messages to her, she was asked to get back only post elections.

Verma, along with other workers and supporters, today defected to BJP and alleged that there is no respect and sense of security for women in AAP and the top brass is “opportunist”.

Verma claimed she was offered the post of AAP Ghaziabad’s Women Cell by party leaders to hush up the matter, but she refused.

She said she would file a police complaint in this matter tomorrow.

The irate workers also alleged that AAP made tall claims of transparency but when they collected and submitted donations in the party fund, no slips were returned in lieu of donation submission.

Despite repeated attempts, no AAP leader or spokesperson was available to comment on the issue.
